Hello guys! Today is the day for all you digi artsits and hybrid artists to celebrate the wonders of technology lol!!!! No but really...it's the day to take some time out and do it digital! And now we're all sick minus Kody and DerRick. Yeah..the boys too. All this madness is hitting us like a ton of bricks. The girls aren't used to being exposed to germies and I got sick over the weekend. I usually get sick when I go out of town but I was hoping the boys would be spared. Anyhoo..I better go. I hope you guys had a great Halloween and got lots of candy ^_^ See you soon and be safe.

kit release thursday!

hello guys! Having a fun and relaxing time here in Nashville. On the way up here I heard Miley's song "Party in the USA" a hundred times lol...But yes, the ceremony last night was good. DerRick gets his award at the promotion ceremony tonight. I got outdanced by a chick in 5 inch heals, saw the man who hit on me last year...after I told him I was flattered but happily married he backed off quick and now only peeks lol! Tonight I have to dress up as an Indian. Ok...this IS the Air Force right? :) No but it's nice to be here with all the men and women who work so hard to protect our way of living and save our lives even if it means losing their own. So...on a craft note...today is new release day over at The Digichicks! I have two paper packs and my very first font up in my shop! I'm not at home so links are not possible at this moment lol...but if you look at the post titled "It's Almost That Time" then you can get a peek. workshop delight

This album is by lasmanitasdevinnie she made a stunning keepsake. I loved how she punched out my paper designs with the circle punch! And those feet......seriously adorable!!!!

I surprised Kody by staying  a little while this morning when we got to school :) I showed me around and pointed out all of 'his' stuff. Got the most tally marks or active listening!!! I more but my phone can only send two photos at a time lol!!!! So I just put them on side album.

I'm going back a little later to join him for luch!.....shhhhhhhhh...

bitter sweetness

How can I simply put this past week. Interesting? Yes. Frustrating? yes. Blessed? Yes. Shocking? Yes. Exiting . Yes. Eye Opening? Yes. Sad? Yes. I would say just about every emotion was felt lately and It's all part of this crazy life we live.

To pick a few things and to start off. My workshop opened up Monday. I was SO exited the days before. Nervous as heck but exited just the same. I just wanted everyone to get at least one thing from each week that they can hold on to forever. So I was constantly really not knowing what would happen. I had a good turn out and everyone has been gems! I'm looking forward to doing another workshop and it's only week one!!! Of course it didn't go down with out some bumps in the road. All I have to say about that is...

 

So...as I'm thinking of that I had to think about the family and sickness. again {groan} First it was Chloe'. She got a fever 103.8. She got better. Then DerRick starts showing signs that he want to get sick but no biggie. Then Kennedy gets pink eye in both eyes. They prescribed her eye drops over the phone. I keep her from school. Then here comes Chloe' not to be outdone. I caught her itching her stomach. It was so quick but a momma is a momma and I knew something was up. She had a rash all on her stomach and back. O Lordy...So I take her in and she's fine. Then I wake up ad check my emial. I'm half sleep looking at the screen and DerRick is beside me on his computer. I ask how he slept. No answer. Without thinking, I ask him again. "How did you sleep honey?" No answer. I look at him and ask him if he heard me. All he could do was point to his throat and he looked like crap.

o man...

SO...I guess it's the boys and me for the long haul lol! This season and school do not mix. And having an army of kids passing ickies between eachother is a full-time job to try and control.

Alright, so next...I'm super eager to make changes to my logo and blog. I wish I could but haven't the time. So I wait. And am still waiting for the time I can change things up a little. I'm so darn fickle lol!

That is a cute box made by Linda (aka linstamps) with the use of my Capture + Record kit. It looks super cute and I LOVE how she worked the hybrid!!!!!

cell pics, rain, hobby lobby + homework

Hello, hello guys. TGIF! This week has gone by so slow for me. What about you all? I know my posts are far and in between so thanks for being patient. We have a busload over here lol! School and appointments + change seem to have been the words of the week.

Preschool has been kicked up a notch. The girls never needed their backpacks and now they have homework? Wowza! I was like o man. It feels a little strange because it's two of them doing the same homework at the same time. They enjoyed decorating their little scarecrows and declared homework to be "fun!" :) I assured them there will be much more homework to come. Although, as I'm getting the kids in the car, it starts pouring down rain! The scarecrows got soaked and so did I :(

 

So what does a momma do? Dry them in the car lol! I cranked up the heat, put the papers above the dash and it was all good. Speaking of homework. I actually have homework. You all know what I'm talking about when I say your kids projects end up being your projects. Yeah, with Chloe' being super star kid of the week I have had homework every other day! I did the poster with her and totally let her do her thing. I only 'guided' her on where to put the flowers and butterflies Ha HAAAAAA!!!!! Then I was asked to write her a love letter

 

I LOVED writing her this letter. It was a chance for me to let her know, strait up, how I feel about her and how she makes me feel. When I picked the girls up yesterday, the teacher said that she and the assistant teacher cried. I asked Chloe' if she liked it and she said yes. I told her I meant every word :)

Then last night I needed to bring in a favorite family recipe. Of course I chose DerRick's strawberry cheesecake.

 

Chloe' had no objections to this being the chosen recipe. But I pretty much took over the presentation of it myself lol!!!! Hey, hey, hey...she was asleep when I did it. ^_^

Having the new cell phone has been super nice. It's so easy to send pictures to my Mom and sister as we are doing whatever it is we are doing. I feel more connected with them now. Loving that. I wasn't the best at bringing my big SLR everywhere I went so yeah...last weekend the kids and I went out to the crafts stores together.

 

Yes, that's me. I'm coming out of modest recovery lol!!!

 

This is Chloe' inside Hobby Lobby. She is such a doll. I have this as my cell exterior wallpaper ^_^

 

They love any craft store. Especially when they know they'll get something ^_^ But I think they like Hobby Lobby the most. Now if I can just get them to quite climbing on the displays then we would be strait lol...
